Adirondack Explorer Editor Phil Brown will give a slide show based on his new guidebook, Adirondack Paddling: 60 Great Flatwater Adventures, at the Left Bank Café at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 2. The presentation will focus on new paddling opportunities made possible by recent or pending state land acquisitions.
Adirondack Lakes and Trails Outfitters is co-hosting the event with the Left Bank Café. Tapas and drinks will be available.
Brown published Adirondack Paddling in collaboration with the Adirondack Mountain Club last fall. The book describes trips throughout the Adirondack Park. It contains more than 100 color photos of waterways, wildflowers, and wildlife and more than 60 color maps. The book was designed by Susan Bibeau of Saranac Lake.
Copies of Adirondack Paddling will be available for sale. Brown will sign them if asked.
